Before Phantogram / The XX show the other night I made reservations for all of us to eat at Street. It's a fairly new restaurant on Highland in Hollywood that is supposed to serve gourmet, street inspired food. Ehhh, that's a stretch. Anyway...here's what we ordered (family style dining). We ate everything but the clams which had a very strange chemical flavor that the chef told us was basil. *This is a photo heavy post*

-.Kaya Toast - Streets most popular dish. For good reason. Toasted bread spread thick with coconut jam. Served with a soft fried egg drizzled in dark soy and white pepper.
-.Smoked Whitefish Salad with Homemade Pretzel Chip. - The pretzel chips were the star of this dish. The fish had a bit too much relish and mayo.
-.Sauteed Black Kale with Refried White Beans, toasted olive bread and white anchovy butter. Hands down the best dish we had that night. I'd say better than the Kaya toast.
-.Beef Tenderloin Schnitzel - with fried cornichon pickles and sweet and sour cabbage.
-.Tatsutage Fried Chicken - SO F*ing good. Covered in spicy kewpie mayo.
-.Peking Quail - BEST MAIN DISH. Quail was perfectly cooked and the chestnut rice was amazing.
-.Malaysian Black Pepper Clams
-.Coffee - My drug of choice. Great coffee wayyy to much sugar.
-.Turkish Donuts with rosehip jam and sour cream - I took several photos of these trying to get a shot that did not look like a penis and balls. No luck. I wouldn't get them again. And I'm not sure why.
-.The XX. - Duh.
