Loose Lips Sink Ships

You paint on what?! ...To me x-rays are a tangible symbol of stress and anxiety. When you look at an x-ray, you scan the page, searching for the obvious disfigurement. If no screws fusing bones together, or tumor the size of (insert random round object here), are visible, curiosity becomes disappointment, which evolves into disinterest. Unless, of course, the x-ray is your own, then relief sets in, because you've been given a second chance. Fortunately, I get the opportunity of treating those "uninteresting" x-rays to a second round of scrutiny by painting on them. I consider my work to be less art and more entertainment for all my fellow cohorts with short attention spans.

With that said, my next few posts are going to feature some of my recent x-rays. Normally, artist have trouble finding the time to paint; I'm just having trouble finding the space. I have set up shop everywhere, from my kitchen table to the floor of my office. I still haven't found the place that I feel completely comfortable in, but it will come when I need it most. For now, no hallway, counter, closet, or bathtub is safe. Enjoy.
