Ethiopiates

I'm going to be brutally honest in this post. This was very hard to keep down. Now for those of you who are thinking I probably just have a weak stomach you are very wrong. Aside from being Latina, which gives me the ability to eat cow brain without flinching, I love trying new foods. I'm sure this place is a great place to go IF you like Ethiopian food. I.DO.NOT. There were only two things on this plate I tried more than one bite of...collard greens and cabbage and those are kind of hard to mess up. Everything else had such intense flavors, smells and textures that I couldn't even get a break between piles. I won't be going back there anytime soon but I would love to hear from anyone that actually enjoys themselves a little Ethiopian.

Here's what I shared with Suss...
Doro Wot, Siga Wot, Yebeg Siga Alitcha, Yater Alitcha, Kitffo, Tibs, Yatakilt Alitcha, Alitcha, Yemisir Wot & Collard Greens... all eaten with unleavened sourdough bread. And by bread I mean memory foam.

I also had a sip of Ethiopian beer (for which the choices are light or dark) it was by far the best thing I had there.

BAHAHAHAHAH!!! i am sorry for laughing, but you couldn't even pay me to try that food. B.A.R.F. but i'd down with the beer and be done with it.

i am suspicious of funny looking and unidentifiable food, and i will vomit if any kind of bean is in the vicinity of me. i am a a picky fuck, but i do have good taste. at least according to me.

ENOUGH ABOUT ME! i can only imagine what your next food adventure will be. i hope it is better than this one!!!

Yo little Stevie. May suggest for your next ethnic adventure you try Filipino food. Go with the Adobo, Dinuguan, Kare-Kare, and Pancit.

This would be a post I'd like to read.

i've only had ethiopian once, and i blamed not liking it on the sourdough bread. i looove sourdough, but this bread was way sour and you HAVE to eat everything with the bread because of the lack of utensils. that upset me, because i'm suuuch a food snob and can eat anything and really wanted to like ethiopian too, but just couldn't.

oh, also, thanks for visiting my blog!
