For obvious reasons I pre-ordered the Senso Neve bootie is black about a month back. I was beyond excited to get them in the mail and I was more than super pissed when I saw the royal blue pair pop up on Solestruck because I would have ordered those. Now for the total bummer, they are terrible in person. It could be my bird ankles but they just don't fit well. They are loose and sloppy in all the wrong areas and almost look a little cheap. This is probably the reason I could never find a picture of someone actually wearing them on any blogs or websites. Anyway, I'm sending them back after trying them on about 300 times and trying to love them (sounds like my dating life). I've justified shoes that are two sizes too small but I just can't justify this ill fitting pair. On to the next one.

I'm completely aware that if I continue to squint my eyes like I am in these photos I will need Botox before I'm thirty. I just can't help that my little eyes are super sensitive even when I'm wearing sunglasses. On a side note walking in the grass with these wedges on was about as easy as walking in the sand while wearing flip flops. I made it but instantly sat down like I had just run a 5k. I wish I could run a 5k. Dreams...

Before Phantogram / The XX show the other night I made reservations for all of us to eat at Street. It's a fairly new restaurant on Highland in Hollywood that is supposed to serve gourmet, street inspired food. Ehhh, that's a stretch. Anyway...here's what we ordered (family style dining). We ate everything but the clams which had a very strange chemical flavor that the chef told us was basil. *This is a photo heavy post*

-.Kaya Toast - Streets most popular dish. For good reason. Toasted bread spread thick with coconut jam. Served with a soft fried egg drizzled in dark soy and white pepper.
-.Smoked Whitefish Salad with Homemade Pretzel Chip. - The pretzel chips were the star of this dish. The fish had a bit too much relish and mayo.
-.Sauteed Black Kale with Refried White Beans, toasted olive bread and white anchovy butter. Hands down the best dish we had that night. I'd say better than the Kaya toast.
-.Beef Tenderloin Schnitzel - with fried cornichon pickles and sweet and sour cabbage.
-.Tatsutage Fried Chicken - SO F*ing good. Covered in spicy kewpie mayo.
-.Peking Quail - BEST MAIN DISH. Quail was perfectly cooked and the chestnut rice was amazing.
-.Malaysian Black Pepper Clams
-.Coffee - My drug of choice. Great coffee wayyy to much sugar.
-.Turkish Donuts with rosehip jam and sour cream - I took several photos of these trying to get a shot that did not look like a penis and balls. No luck. I wouldn't get them again. And I'm not sure why.
-.The XX. - Duh.
